I will send $1,000 to whoever proves me
wrong by bringing one verse from the
Koran to disprove any of the
following statements:

1) The Koran has no rule that states the following: “Women should cover their hair or heads in public.”

2) The Koran claims that its main message of guidance is clear for understanding and there is no need for interpretation.  This means ordinary people can understand the message it contains, and they need no one to tell them what God is saying.

3) The Koran claims that followers of Jesus Christ (and not the followers of Prophet Mohammad) will be above all non-believers until the end of the world.

4) Followers of Prophet Mohammad can excel only if they promote good and abstain from bad.

5) Do not fight with those who do not want to fight with you to change your religion (with this rule of the Koran, Osama Ben Laden and his followers are committing great sin and will receive God’s wrath).

6) The Koran claims that Jews were the chosen people of God, and that God promised them the Holy Land.

7) Even though the Koran acknowledges that Christians believe in a Trinity, and although the Koran does reject the Christian trinity, it claims that good Christians who rush to do good deeds are honorable people who God will reward.

8) The Koran never commands Muslims to pray in the Arabic Language.

9) The Koran and the Bible are books of love, and not hate.

10) The Koran urges Muslims that when their enemies ask for peace, they should accept.

11) The Koran forbids people from not using their minds and blindly following their traditions.

12) The Koran is a book like the books of Moses (the Torah), and not the books of Jesus (the New Gospel, or in Arabic, the Enjil).

13) The Koran was sent to the Arabic people (who are descendents of Abraham’s son Ishmael) to warn them to worship one God. (This is the promise God had made to Abraham in regards to his descendents through his son Ishmael.) It also contains corrections for the Children of Israel.

14) The covenant of God was with the Children of Israel through Jacob, son of Isaac, son of Abraham, and not with the Arabic people through Ishmael, son of Abraham.

15) Prophet Mohammad (like other prophets, i.e. Moses, David, Jonah, Job, etc.) also sinned. He was like all other humans, and was not without sin throughout his life, as Muslims are led to believe.

16) God never mentions any of the leaders of Islam (after Prophet Mohammad) by name in the Koran (the Shiia and Sunnis’ conflict started after these leaders came to power, namely the first four). However, there are references to the kings of Iran (Cyprus and Darius, etc.) in the Old Testament (in books whose validity the Koran confirms).

17) When talking about the best prophets, Jesus Christ is mentioned directly in the Koran, and Moses, indirectly.

18) Wearing jewelry (in specific, gold for men) is not forbidden in the Koran, but it is specifically recommended to wear jewelry when you go to the Mosque.

19) Muslims who shorten their prayers while on a trip are following man-made laws and not those of the Koran, as the Koran only recommends shortening prayer if you fear for your life.

20) Never in the Koran is fasting the whole month of Ramadan prescribed, but only a few days of fasting in that month.

21) Never does the Koran say to follow Prophet Mohammad’s sayings (Ahadith) after his death, but to only follow the Koran and the books before the Koran (the Bible).

22) God commands the Prophet Mohammad to guide those who want to be guided only by means of the Koran.

23) Forcing religion is prohibited.

24) God never forbids Muslims from making peace with those who don’t want to go to war with them.

25) The Koran never claims (as Ayatollah Khomeini told the world and was able to convince Iranians) that it contains all the laws of the universe.

26) The Koran does not forbid dancing, but forbids corruption.

27) The Koran indirectly accepts that the New Gospel of Jesus Christ is a fulfillment of the Koran, and not vice versa.
